Robert McClellan is a photographer, writer, and multimedia artist who brings a lifetime of creative curiosity to his work. His art reflects both craftsmanship and courage, blending technical mastery with an eye for stories that stir emotion.

Shaped by the working-class streets of North Philadelphia, Robert developed an unconventional perspective that challenges how we see the world. When asked about his artistic mission, he says, “I consider myself an artist provocateur. When someone views my work, I hope to awaken something inside them that sparks a new way of thinking or a fresh conversation.”

A highly commended US Navy combat photographer and photojournalism instructor, Robert’s experiences have honed his ability to find beauty and meaning in unlikely places. His striking images and multimedia pieces reflect that depth of vision.

A relentless seeker of novelty, Robert has also built a career as an award-winning documentary filmmaker, seasoned podcaster, editor, and writer.

He lives with his wife, acclaimed underwater explorer Jill Heinerth, in a restored two-hundred-year-old grain mill on a river in Eastern Ontario, Canada—where history, creativity, and adventure flow together in daily life.
